Olivia has carried a passion for food since the youthful day her mother shared her secret Molé recipe. Growing up in the restaurant business has allowed her to find her own place in the culinary industry. She has spent the last 9 years perfecting her love of fusion cuisine and appreciation for a green environment. She brings this passion to every dish she creates and every event she produces.
Throughout the years, Chef oh has grown from experimenting in the kitchen for her beloved friends to Executive Chef at El Cid restaurant. She has delivered a personal chef experience for the Prince of Dubai, added lavish taste to the long production hours of filming and warmed the hearts of new moms celebrating life. Her sultry appetizers have served as the perfect accessories to the launch of CaliLu’s new dress line. Her choice of simplistic displays always allows her uniquely-crafted flavors to leave their own memorable mark on the taste buds of every event patron.
While being dedicated to building a greener environment, her joy of giving continues to resonate throughout a myriad of causes. She graciously dedicates time every summer to feed the volunteers of Rock 'n' Roll Camp for Girls as they build girls' self-esteem through music creation and performance. She has donated a portion of her event revenue to find a cure for breast cancer. And, her tasteful bites have supported a charitable event focused on fighting human trafficking and modern-day slavery around the world.
As Chef oh’s brand penetrates the LA marketplace of catering, she continues to tirelessly grow her new company oh Catering & Events by Chef Olivia Hernandez while leaving her mark on the LA cityscape managing El Cid's catering & events department.
